Hi there all. Hope you had a brilliant Christmas. Being that the air is as heavy as mustard gas this year I thought I’d treat myself to the latest anti-pollution mask (as you do). The Mini Lung-Pro has been around for a few months so with my curiosity building as to its effectiveness and reliability I thought I’d take it for a spin.
Last year I wrote a piece on how crap the air was in sunny Beijing (click here) so in an effort to do something a bit different I did a review in two parts on my Max China channel on YouTube. I have to say that compared to other masks this one is quite ‘out there’ to say the least.
Please support my channel by clicking on the YouTube link then subscribing and giving us the thumbs up. I’d really appreciate it.
Wishing you all the best of good luck in 2017. May all your hard work in whatever projects you are doing come in to fruition and be successful. Hugs and good vibes from China.

And we complain because our rivers are turning nasty colours – while we can still see blue sky in our cities. Very thoughtful of the Chinese to put masks on the statues as well.

Hiya Glenys. Well we have to see the funny side of it I guess. I think it gets to you after a few days. When it cleared last week I opened the window and took a deep lung full first thing in the morning. Bliss! Cheers for watching mate. How was your Christmas and New Year?

Hi Andy, our Christmas was great. Cloudy skies but fun with presents for great nieces and baby great nephew who is a very sociable outgoing little chap. New year was quieter – except for the Chinese acupuncturist and his wife and children who live over the back fence. They let off heaps of fireworks in the wee small hours for both Christmas and New Year. There is no getting away from these Chinese folk.

Hey there Glenys. Ha ha I see the Chinese were making the most noise. I think the noisiest in the world LOL. Happy New Year to you 🙂

wow Outstanding short article
That survives a good deal more thrilling, and helping your attendees obtain some sort of end result that they are really yearning for.
Thanks for explaining these referrals, as frequently.

Happy New Year Andy! Was wondering whether you were getting ready for a masquerade party or something from the photo! That’s a nasty thing to be breathing in. Hope it all clears soon. Is it dust blowing in from the desert or from pollution in the city?

Hiya Singledust. Its pollution from coal being burnt among other things. Feel free to check out the vids. I really enjoyed making them. I think in a day or two it will clear. How are you these days?

Burning coal for heating? Oh that’s terrible to bear even for a few days. Can’t say stay clear as you live right smack in it. We always encounter haze in the middle of the year when open burning takes place in Jawa and the winds blow it all up the west coast of Malaysia. The Air Pollutant Index would go as high as 300! and you couldn’t see for 2 meters in front of you. Horrible time so I can empathise with your plight now. I have been really well but not so good (been eating too much!!) need to loose a few! How were the holidays for you?

Ha ha > I guess you’ll have to do some exercise right? Actually last year someone commented that their city in the Ukraine was worse than Beijing. I guess I just wanted to have fun testing the mask out. Great fun 🙂

I plan to walk more but its the monsoon now and the rains have been merciless. Maybe soon. You could be a product spokesperson!!

I guess you have a billion mosquitoes to bite you. Are you immune or do you get bitten a lot?
LikeLiked by 1 person
No I am not immune just been extremely lucky! Yes you are right many mosquitoes and dengue fever has high stats here. But its best to avoid being outside at dusk and dawn. thats when they attack! No immunisation for this yet I am afraid. No malaria though.

No malaria and dengue. Phew you are lucky. Do your friends and family suffer from it? Maybe you have a super immune house. Do you use the electric tennis rackets to kill the mozzies?

yeah we have the battery powered buzzing tennis racket, my youngest used to love swatting the mosquitoes and flies! My youngest and ex-husband had dengue fever but both recovered well. Some don’t and if they don’t get medical attention quick it can escalate to hemorrhaging dengue fever.

I must admit it’s really satisfying zapping a mozzy with one of those rackets. I guess the dengue must have been worrying but at least they are out of it. Phew!

yes thankfully both are fine now.

Happy New Year, Andy. Sorry you have to resort to the mask, but it’s probably better than no mask. Cheers!

Oh yes we were delayed here in Beijing because of the fog and pollution. Indeed a good mask is needed!
Have a happy 2017!

Hi Mel & Suan > Its definitely not fog that’s for sure ha ha, though they do say it is on TV and on the plane ha ha. 100% homegrown pollution ha ha. Happy New Year back to you 🙂 Be Lucky 🙂

Yep, it was all of that for sure! But we were fortunate to have been given a hotel night and dinner. But we made the most of it and met up with friends who live in Beijing!

Hi Andy
I would like to reblog this post if that is alright with you. I think some of the cool people following my blog would be really interested in you posts about China.

Hiya Glenys. That’s great. I love it when people take an interest in my work. I updated it as only a few people actually bothered to go and watch the vids on YouTube. I added a direct link to the site instead. By all means reblog and thank you so much.
